Charities Fund Board
Our Club has a West Olympia Rotary Charities Fund Board that manages a special not-for-profit West Olympia Rotary Charities Fund that is used to support Club programs, community service efforts, and special projects. The West Olympia Rotary Charities Fund Board, elected annually by the membership, operates under specific Bylaws and Fund Guidelines.
Charities funds are used to:
1. Support qualified 501(c)3 non-profit activities and organizations that have objectives consistent with those of Rotary International. Emphasis is on local support for youth and family services, social welfare, and education as well as Rotary International special projects and disaster relief.
2. Provide college scholarships to graduating Capital and Avanti High School seniors. The amount and number of scholarships are determined annually by the West Olympia Rotary Scholarship Endowment Fund and Scholarship Committees.
The Charities Fund Board is currently in the process of updating its process for non-profit organizations to request funding from our West Olympia Rotary Charities Fund. Please check back around September 1st to view our guidelines and apply.
